1. Agreement Overview

1.1 puterParts provides free computer collection, recycling, and secure data destruction services for businesses in Sydney and surrounding areas.

1.2 By placing an order or using our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Our Services

2.1 puterParts offers:

a) Computer Collection: Pickup of unwanted business computers and related IT equipment ("Equipment Items").
b) Recycling & Refurbishment: Assessment, sorting, reuse, and environmentally responsible recycling or disposal of Equipment Items and/or their components.
c) Data Destruction: Secure erasure or physical destruction of data storage devices using recognised industry standards.

2.2 While puterParts uses industry best-practice data destruction methods, puterParts does not recover data or guarantee complete removal of data that was previously incompletely removed because it was inaccessible or encrypted.

2.3 All services are provided free of charge. puterParts donates 15% of its profits to Australian charities supporting environmental and digital inclusion initiatives.

3. Customer Obligations

3.1 When arranging a collection, you agree to:

a) Provide accurate details about the pickup address and Equipment Items.
b) Ensure safe and unobstructed access for our collection team.
c) Remove from Equipment Items all personal items and non-electronic waste before collection.
d) Remove from Equipment Items any personal or confidential data before handing them over.
e) Retain a copy of any data you require before handing over Equipment Items.

4. Ownership Transfer

4.1 By handing over Equipment Items, you confirm that:

a) You are the rightful owner or have authority to dispose of the Equipment Items.
b) Ownership of the Equipment Items transfers to puterParts at the time of collection.
c) puterParts may refurbish, resell, reuse, recycle, or responsibly dispose of the Equipment Items as it sees fit.

4.2 Once collected, Equipment Items or their components cannot be returned.

5. Liability

5.1 puterParts provides its services at no cost and on an "as-is" basis.

5.2 While reasonable care is taken to securely erase data and handle equipment safely, puterParts accepts no liability for:

a) Any data or information remaining on collected devices.
b) Loss of data that was not backed up before collection.
c) Damage to property caused by unsafe access conditions at the pickup location.

5.3 To the maximum extent permitted by law, puterParts is not responsible for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use of its services.

5.4 You indemnify puterParts and will hold it harmless from and against any claim, liability, loss, damage, cost, or expense incurred by puterParts arising from or in connection with the use of puterParts' services in relation to your Equipment Items.

6. Environmental & Charity Commitments

6.1 puterParts is committed to:

a) Reusing and recycling as much material as possible.
b) Reducing e-waste and landfill through responsible disposal.
c) Donating 15% of annual profits (sales revenue less reasonable operating expenses) to registered Australian charities supporting technology access and/or environmental sustainability.

7. Cancellations and Rescheduling

7.1 If you need to change or cancel a booking:

a) Please contact us at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup.
b) There are no fees for cancellation or rescheduling.

8. Governing Law

8.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

8.2 Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
